Getting started

SponsorGap is a sponsorship intelligence platform for newsletter creators and brands. It shows you which companies are actively spending on newsletter sponsorships, provides verified contact details for decision-makers, and helps you manage your entire outreach pipeline — from first pitch to signed deal.
Start with a free 7-day trial — no credit card required. After signing up, go to the Sponsors section and search by your niche or industry. Once you find a brand you want to pitch, check their contact info and add them to your outreach pipeline. See our Getting Started guide for a step-by-step walkthrough.
During your 7-day trial you get full access to the platform — sponsor search, contact info, outreach pipeline, competitor monitoring, the marketplace, and all filters. There are no feature restrictions during the trial.
Primarily yes — the database focuses on newsletter sponsorships. But the sponsors and contacts are relevant for any creator looking to secure brand deals, including podcasters and YouTubers in newsletter-adjacent niches.

Sponsor discovery

Search by keyword (brand name, product), industry (SaaS, Fintech, Health…), or audience size. Results show brands that have actually appeared as sponsors in newsletters — not just companies that exist. You can sort by activity, recency, or audience reach.
Each sponsor profile includes:
  • Which newsletters they have sponsored
  • How frequently they buy ads (weekly, monthly, sporadic)
  • Audience size of newsletters they target
  • Industry and product category
  • Verified contact details — name, email, and LinkedIn of the decision-maker
  • Spend trajectory (growing, stable, or declining)
The database is updated continuously. New sponsorship appearances are added daily as we scan newsletters. Contact data is reviewed and refreshed regularly — each record shows when it was last verified.
The Funding Radar surfaces companies that have recently announced a fundraising round. Companies that just raised typically have fresh marketing budgets and are actively looking to grow — making them ideal cold outreach targets before competitors reach them first.
You can track which brands are sponsoring newsletters similar to yours. When a new brand appears in a competitor's newsletter, you get an alert — so you can reach out while the budget is fresh and before they move on to the next placement.

Outreach

Open any sponsor profile and click View Contact. You'll see the name, job title, email address, and LinkedIn URL of the person who manages newsletter sponsorships at that company. Contact data is available on Professional plans and above.
The outreach pipeline is a lightweight CRM built into SponsorGap. Add brands to your pipeline and move them through stages: Researching → Contacted → Replied → Negotiating → Closed. You can add notes, track dates, and see your entire sponsorship sales process in one view.
No — SponsorGap provides the contact data and outreach tracking, but you send emails from your own email client. This keeps your outreach personal and avoids spam filters. You can connect a webhook to tools like Instantly or Lemlist if you want to automate sequences.
Yes. You can export sponsor lists as CSV or connect via webhook (Settings → Integrations) to push contacts directly to tools like HubSpot, Instantly, Lemlist, Apollo, or any CRM that accepts webhooks. The full REST API is available on Advanced plans.

Marketplace

The marketplace lets brands browse open ad slots from newsletter creators and book directly — no middleman. As a creator, you list your available placements (dates, formats, prices) and brands reach out to book them. It flips the model from outbound pitching to inbound bookings.
Go to Marketplace → My Ad Slots and click Add Slot. Fill in the date, format (primary, secondary, classified), price, and any notes. Your slot will appear in the marketplace for brands to discover. Slots can be set as available, booked, or paused.
Brands on SponsorGap can browse the marketplace filtered by niche, audience size, and date. When they find a slot they like, they send a booking inquiry. You'll receive a notification and can accept, negotiate, or decline. Payment is handled separately between you and the brand.
Listing ad slots is included in all paid plans. SponsorGap does not take a commission on deals — the price you set is what you receive from the brand. We just connect you.

Pricing & billing

We offer refunds within 7 days of a new subscription if you haven't found the platform useful. Email hi@sponsorgap.com and we'll sort it out.

API & integrations

The REST API gives you programmatic access to the full sponsor database — search, filter, and retrieve sponsor records, contact data, and activity signals. Available on Professional ($89/mo, 100 req/day) and Advanced ($199/mo, 1,000 req/day) plans. See the API page for endpoint documentation.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) lets you connect SponsorGap to AI tools like Claude, Cursor, and Windsurf. Once connected, you can ask natural-language questions — "which SaaS brands are sponsoring fintech newsletters?" — and get live answers from the database without leaving your AI workflow. See the MCP setup guide.
Go to Settings → API Access and click Generate API Key. The key is shown once — copy it immediately. The same key works for both the REST API and the MCP server.
Claude.ai (web), Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, and any tool that supports the MCP standard — including ChatGPT and Gemini as they roll out MCP support. See the full setup guide for instructions per tool.

Account & team

Yes. Professional plans include 1 team member seat, Advanced plans include up to 5. Go to Settings → Team Management to invite by email. Team members get their own login but share your subscription's data access.
Yes — team invites work for anyone you want to give access to, including VAs, sales assistants, or co-founders. Just invite them via Settings → Team Management.
Go to the forgot password page and enter your email. You'll receive a reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive.
You can delete your account from Settings → Account Settings at the bottom of the page. This permanently removes your data and cancels any active subscription. If you're having trouble, email hi@sponsorgap.com.
